Mohe Rang De Basanti .......

Tumhaari Maa ki Aankh!.....

I love this dialogue ;-) I watched some part of RDB for nth time today. And again I felt a rush of blood while watching 3 people getting hanged for their country. How could a few people be so selfless? How could they not worry about their own identity and devote their whole life (rather youth) for a cause which is not personal. It needs guts.

I can go on writing on this topic and this movie but I will stop here as I have an exam tomorrow.
May be I will write something more sometime later.
Keep the blogs flowing.

Hats off to them.. I too have no words to entirely express my respect, awe, admiration and fascination with those lives, their struggles, their motivation, endurance and their moving ends.

I can only hope that we too sometime find such a passion, a drive within us for something.. for which we live for.. and for which we can die.

there is a time in everybody's life when you realise that you have born for a specific reason. that stage is called self actualisation. at this stage everything else seems to be small and baseless in front of that motto.

i think this was the driving force behind these true soldiers of our country.having such a determination and willingness, to die for the motherland is simlpy gr8. i salute to these brave men, who gave a lively message to their death.

it wud sound funny but when i hear DJ sayin ki "DJ mein koi baat hai,DJ kuch kar ke dikhayega". i feel d same in me.it seems tht my life shud hold some meaning,it cant be a futile existence.but wen i think of these MARTYRS i find my self a minuscle in front of them,a sense of being trivial sets in coz i cant do wat they did.i'm too selfish n self centered to even think of sumthing like tht.
They were really great!!

don't know how to put it.. i have ..not much respect for anybody's action. And believe that they reap from what they do(they and we r synonyms).
Some deeds are hailed coz we allow ourselves to be affected and inspired by them.
An act of an extreme sacrifice could only be driven by an extreme ego. nothing wrong with that.. but why say "great" ?

on comment of pateincekills

yes you are right. their motivation was driven by an extreme ego. an ego of being called a citizen of an independent nation, of being free, of not being ruled by anyone else. so you can call it a selfish motive from this point of view.
why call them great ?
hmmm... good point. i think i need to ponder over it then just reply with emotion.

here i go again,
trying to intercept the blog and the previous comments,,
now this is intresting..
in the blog PS states,
"How could they not worry about their own identity and devote their whole life "

The comments from Spirit, vikas, and wandering soul all speak one thing, finding an idetity through such a sacrifice.

Some ppople make an idintity before death, by being a hero, or by being through a set of emotions which give you a high.
no one has seen of life after death, and what happens beyond that does not matter, but the glory/extreme emotion that comes before the death is what counts for them,
perhaps...
